Your needs lie at the heart of our service provision and forms part of your care plan to the extent that it involves you at every step when we provide you with personal care. We will offer you the opportunity to make choices regarding how your care is delivered whilst involving you at every stage of it, in order to gain your satisfaction, promote your independence and encourage you to make decisions that will ensure your inclusion in the community.
We will respect your values and religious beliefs, we will not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, political affiliation, gender or sexual orientation, disability or impairment, marital status, and parenthood. On that basis we have developed a needs assessment document that recognises your individuality as a person, gives you choices and celebrates diversity.

- Assisting with washing, bathing, showering and bed bathing
- Assisting with toileting and continence requirements
- Assisting with getting up from and going to bed, dressing and undressing
- Care of skin, hair, teeth, nails
- Assisting with medications
- Assisting with and the escalation of medical care needs where appropriate
- Assisting with laundry service, shopping and meal preparation
- Sleep in or sitting service
- Short-term relief for family carers

We also understand the threats disability may pose in undermining people’s dignity, so we aim to respect your core values by:
- Respecting your social, cultural and religious norms. We will identify, understand and enter your preferences into your plan of care
- Addressing you by your preferred name
- Providing care and support in the least intrusive way at all times especially when providing personal care, entering your home, rooms or bathroom.
- Respecting the personal appearance and behavioral image you want to present to friends, relatives and the public
- Recognising and treating you as an individual and a valued member of society
- Engaging and tackling the stigma from which you may suffer from as a result of age, disability, or status
- Treating you, your relatives or representatives with courtesy at all times
- Updating your needs assessment twice a year or as often as your needs changes so that we can provide a service that is responsive to your needs
- Being registered under the Data Protection Act and making sure that our staff adhere to our comprehensive policies and procedures when handling your personal information
